The Kasbahs and Sahara Trip from Marrakesh

Arrival at the Marrakech Menara Airport. You will be welcomed by our staff and taken to your hotel. After having been registered you will enjoy a panoramic tour. Return to your hotel. Afternoon off and dinner in the Djemaa el Fna square. Lodging and breakfast.

In the morning you will head toward the south crossing narrow roads, the mountains of the High Atlas and the Tiz-in-Tichka port (2260 metres). On the way we will see the capital of the Pasha of Marrakech, visiting its fortified palace of adobe and stone situated in the Kasbah of Talouet and whose towers will give you the chance of admiring the surroundings of the town. Another jewel of the region is Aït Benhaddou, a beautiful fortified village with crenellated and decorated towers regarded as one of the most beautiful places of the area. Furthermore, Aït Benhaddou has been given the status of World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. Night at the hotel.

After breakfast, we will discover the places of the roses and the track of the thousand Kasbahs, situated in the heart of the Valley of the Palms. Then we will visit the Rose Valley, the Dadés Gorges and Boumalne, that opens up among the banks of the Dadés, a road strewn with Kasbahs and ksours which, together with a palm grove, make the landscape very coloured at 1350 metres. Night in Riyadh.

You will make a stroll through the Todra Gorges at 300 metres of altitude and have the chance to appreciate the life of the Berbers in the isolated mountains. You will also have the opportunity of exploring the region of Mharech, Tafilalet, Hamada and the river. You'll get to Ramlia oasis taking the path of the Dakar Rally. Night in the desert of Ouzina.

This itinerary crosses a hamadas, the desert, tarred oueds, Merzouga, Ouzina, Jdaid, Taouz and Hamlia. You will appreciate the pure beauty of the road of the lovely Erg Chebbi and make a stop to enjoy a delicious mint tea accompanied by Sudanese musicians before arriving at the bivouac. Once arrived, you will have the opportunity of changing the 4x4 for 8x8 "camels" and start a caravan to explore the sea of dunes. You will try the life of the Berbers, spending the night under a sky full of stars and listening to the drum music of the Sahara. Dinner and overnight in a bivouac tent.

From the dunes, we will go to the city of Rissani, the first economic empire of the country, visit its souks and set off for the Valley of Drâa (164 km of tarred road), discovering numerous villages and oases. After Agdz, crossing the Djebel Saghir, we will arrive at the heart of the Drâa. Overnight in hotel.

We will start the itinerary visiting numerous villages and oases. After seeing the Kasbah of Tamnougalte and Agdz and crossing the Djebel Saghro, we will arrive at the return path via Ouarzazate and lunch as we go along. Later on, we will continue towards the High Atlas crossing the Tizi-n Tichka port (2260 metres). We will make stops in order to take photos calmly. Night in Ryadh.
