Another legend located in the middle of Marrakech city, the town of art, culture, and nature, there is an exceptional garden called Majorelle Garden “Jardin Majorelle” in french, positioned in Gueliz.
The garden was established by Jacques Majorelle; he was an artist of French origin. On his first trip to Morocco, specifically Marrakesh city he fell in love, and for that reason, he decided to settle in the medina of Marrakech.
The Majorelle garden was established by Jacques Majorelle began in 1923, the garden is full of various plants from five continents.
In 1931 the designer Paul Senior propose to build a villa in the center of the garden, he appended a tall basin. Jacque Majorelle considered the first-floor villa as a studio for painting.
In 1980, Yves Saint-Laurent and Pierre Bergé were interested in the garden when they found it, the garden was empty of visitors even though it was opening, that’s why Yves Saint-Laurent decided to renovate it and made it the most beautiful garden in the city of Marrakech, now the Majorelle gardens are the best destination of tourist.
